PixelHaze at the Powys Business Awards

On Friday evening we attended the Powys Business Awards as finalists, having been fortunate enough to be shortlisted in the Technology and Innovation category.

The event itself was expertly organised and staged at Derring Lines, Brecon, organised by Mid Wales Manufacturing Group and sponsored by Powys County Council with the view to celebrate excellence in business across the county.  240 guest attended this year’s awards ceremony with TV weather personality Derek Brockway compere for the evening.

We had a feeling that we would be up against it from the start, having been shortlisted alongside two powerhouse technology firms in Invertek Drives (our category winner and overall business of the year) and Plant-I. Although we didn't win, we can take a lot of satisfaction from the fact that we could fly the flag for start-up micro businesses at the event.

The evening was a perfect end to a very busy September, and a real showcase for the talent and growth potential that we have for small businesses in our rural corner of Wales. Anyway, I would like to say a huge congratulations to the award winners, finalists and organisers for taking an active role in pushing rural businesses to the next level.

Oh, and roll on next year!
